Finger-tight capillary column nuts are an excellent alternative to conventional column nuts. They can be installed by hand without a wrench, and they cool down much faster than conventional fittings, making column and inlet maintenance easier. These stainless-steel fittings work best with graphite-type ferrules and help prevent over-tightening, which can cause graphite material to exude into the inlet.
